October Worship Playlist

At Fellowship, we believe worship doesn’t stop on Sunday—it’s a way of life. That’s why we create a monthly playlist of the songs we’ll be singing together in worship. This playlist helps prepare your heart for Sunday, encourages personal worship throughout the week, and allows families to engage with the music at home. Let these songs draw you closer to Christ and unite us as we lift our voices together.

The Pastor’s Pen

Brothers and Sisters,

In Christian theology, grace is the unmerited (unearned) favor of God toward His creation, and theologians often distinguish several kinds of grace to help us understand how God works in both the world and His people.

Common grace refers to the kindness and mercy God extends to all humanity, regardless of salvation. It is seen in the blessings of creation, the restraint of evil, and the good that exists in societies and individuals—even those who do not know Him. As Jesus taught, God “makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). Common grace preserves the world from total corruption and displays God’s goodness to all, leading people to gratitude and repentance (Romans 2:4).

Effectual grace, sometimes called saving grace, is the grace by which God brings sinners to salvation. This grace not only offers redemption but actually accomplishes it in the hearts of those whom God calls. It is irresistible and transformative, regenerating the heart and drawing the sinner to faith in Christ. Paul writes, “For by grace you have been saved through faith—and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Through effectual grace, God awakens the spiritually dead, sustains believers in faith, and ensures their perseverance to the end.

Finally, the ordinary means of grace are the regular, God-ordained channels through which He strengthens and nourishes His people. This is the list we see in Acts 2. These include the ministry of the Word, the fellowship, the two ordinances of the Lords Supper and Baptism, prayer, and hospitality. The early church modeled this pattern in Acts 2:42, devoting themselves “to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

If you have experienced God's saving grace GLORY TO HIS NAME.

Now, take a moment to read this passage...

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… and day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” — Acts 2:42–47

This is a description of the early church from the book of Acts. In it we see what they were all about. In it we find the ordinary means of grace. The grace that is only experienced by God's people gathering together. Do not miss out on the ordinary means of grace. This is something that Becca and I our children get to experience with our Fellowship Family and we wouldn't trade it for the world.

Thank you for loving our family, and thank you so much for your gifts for pastoral appreciation this month! - Travis & Becca

Something for the whole family this Fall at Fellowship

Dinners at 5:30pm - Back Building

Fellowship Kids - Main Building Kids Hallway

Fellowship Students - Back Building 2nd Floor

Apologetics | Co-Ed Adult Study | Terry Skelton | Sanctuary

  • Christian Apologetics is more than winning an argument, it's about sharing the truth of Christ with both conviction and compassion. 1 Peter 3:15 says “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect,” In this class, you'll learn how to answer challenging questions about God, the Bible, and the Christian worldview, all while reflecting the character of Christ. We'll explore how to engage in meaningful conversations, build bridges rather than walls, and stand firm in faith with gentleness and respect. Come get equipped to speak truth in love, and make a thoughtful, compelling case for Christ in today’s skeptical world.

Romans the Glory of the Gospel | Ladies Adult Study | Becca Smith | Back Building 1st Floor Class Room

  • Why does Romans still matter today? Because it answers the deepest questions of the human heart—and leads us straight to the mercy of God. In this 10-week study, we’ll walk through Paul’s letter to the Romans and discover how the gospel meets us in our sin, reshapes our identity, and anchors us in unshakable hope. As we go verse by verse, we’ll see how God works through Jesus to make things right—and how that changes everything for those who believe. This study will help you not just understand key doctrines like justification and redemption, but live them out with confidence and joy. Come see what God has done—and how to live in light of it. This class also meets on Monday morning starting 9.8.2025.

The Road to Jerusalem | Co-Ed Adult Study | Travis Smith | Welcome Center

  • What if the road Jesus walked was meant for you, too? Let’s walk it together—and see how Jesus prepared His followers to live, love, and lead in a broken world. As Jesus set His face toward Jerusalem, He wasn’t just heading to the cross—He was shaping disciples every step of the way. Along that road, He taught what it means to follow Him, warned of the world’s pull, and called His followers to live ready for His return. Discipleship doesn’t happen by accident. Come see how Jesus prepared His followers—so you can follow Him today.
