November Bulletin

At Fellowship, we believe the church is more than a place—it’s the body of believers, united in Christ. Stay informed about worship, events, and opportunities to grow and serve together. Download this week’s bulletin below and join in the life of our church family!

We are prayerfully moving toward a biblical model of church leadership known as elder-led congregationalism. In this model, the church is shepherded by a team of qualified elders who lead, teach, and care for the body, while the congregation faithfully participates in affirming decisions and gospel ministry.

At Fellowship, we are taking intentional steps to move toward this pattern found in the New Testament.

November Worship Playlist

At Fellowship, we believe worship doesn’t stop on Sunday—it’s a way of life. That’s why we create a monthly playlist of the songs we’ll be singing together in worship. This playlist helps prepare your heart for Sunday, encourages personal worship throughout the week, and allows families to engage with the music at home. Let these songs draw you closer to Christ and unite us as we lift our voices together.

The Pastor’s Pen

Brothers and Sisters

Yesterday was an amazing day at Fellowship. Our Missions Team shared several exciting opportunities, both global and local, and I want to recap them for you.

The Searsons: Our New International Missions Partners

Our Missions Team is recommending Matt and Kayla Searson as Fellowship’s new international missions partners. Matt and Kayla serve as IMB Missionaries (International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention) in Liberia, Africa.

Matt is a Professor of Hebrew & Old Testament at the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary. The Lord has led the Searsons to combine their passions for discipleship, theological education, and the local church by serving at a seminary in Monrovia. Their desire is to make disciples, train leaders, and support indigenous church-planting efforts in a region desperate for healthy churches. They long to equip students who will cherish, guard, and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever the Lord sends them.

Local School Mission Opportunity

We also have an incredible opportunity to sponsor a local family in Cabot for Christmas this year. This is a wonderful way to bless two young girls and share the love of Christ in a tangible and meaningful way.

On the Front Lines With ABC&FM and Lonoke DCFS

Another opportunity before us involves helping kinship families through Lonoke DCFS.
If you’re unfamiliar with the term, a kinship placement is when a child is temporarily placed with relatives or familiar adults such as a teacher, neighbor, or close family friend instead of entering traditional foster care with strangers. This allows the child to remain connected to people and routines that give them stability and safety while their parents work through difficult circumstances.

We were given a list of 13 children from 12 different kinship placements who need Christmas gifts this year. Imagine taking in another child just before Christmas. We’re thrilled to come alongside these families and bless them during this unexpected season.

Becca has been in communication with DCFS workers and will have more details soon. To learn more about any of these opportunities, please visit Becca Smith at the Missions Table in the Welcome Center after service.

A Word From Pastor Travis

After the service, I spoke with Becca to see how much interest there was in these mission opportunities. “There was a TON!”

Church family, thank you. You flooded the booth wanting to learn more. The heart of our Missions Team is Acts 1:8: taking the gospel here, there, and everywhere in between. In God’s providence, He brought together all three of these opportunities so we could present them to you on the same day.

God is opening doors for us to “go” for the sake of Christ here in Cabot and all the way to Africa. To think that we are entering year two already serving on the front lines of foster care and kinship placements, while also supporting missionaries training indigenous pastors in Africa… Soli Deo Gloria.

Upcoming Events

Wednesday Nights November 19 - February 11th

No Wednesday Night 11/26, 12/24, 12/31

Jesus cares about how His church is led. Leadership is not a modern invention or a cultural preference — it is a biblical mandate shaped by the authority of Scripture and designed for the good of God’s people.

Over 10 weeks, we will walk through what the Bible teaches about elders, deacons, and the congregation — and how each, in their God-given role, serves the mission of Christ together. We will examine the essential doctrines of church leadership, the beauty of shared shepherding, the stewardship of the congregation, and why plurality, character, and Scripture-anchored order matters today just as much as it did in the first century.

This series is not just information about leadership.
It is preparation, formation, and clarity for the future health of Fellowship — for God’s glory and the good of His people.

Week 1: The Authority & the Sufficiency of Scripture
Week 2: A People Set Apart: The Congregation’s Stewardship
Week 3: Elders, Pastors, and Overseers: One Office, Many Shepherds
Week 4: Why a Plurality of Elders?
Week 5: The Role and Qualifications of Elders
Week 6: The Role and Qualifications of Deacons
Week 7: Elder Led Congregationalism: Shepherds, Servants, & Saints
Week 8: Seeing It in Action: Learning from Other Churches
Week 9: Recognizing & Affirming Leaders
Week 10: Building a Future: A Church Ordered for Christ’s Glory
