September Worship Playlist |
|
At Fellowship, we believe worship doesn’t stop on Sunday—it’s a way of life. That’s why we create a monthly playlist of the songs we’ll be singing together in worship. This playlist helps prepare your heart for Sunday, encourages personal worship throughout the week, and allows families to engage with the music at home. Let these songs draw you closer to Christ and unite us as we lift our voices together. |

Message from Mrs. Jackie |

Next Wednesday evening the 10th is our fall kick off at church. Our kids ministry will be using a curriculum called Growing in God’s Grace. This curriculum is from Ligoner Ministries that helps families & teachers within the church guide children through Scripture. It’s 52 lessons that we will walk through in the Old & New Testament. It’s more than our children taking in the Bible stories it’s about God’s story of redemption & the hope & prayer of where the children can see their own little place in His plan. There are 3 levels to this curriculum, it is broke up by age/grade level. All the classes will be discussing the same scripture & Bible story. But I’m excited that this will take place in each of our classes so if there are siblings it will be an easier discussion at home. Next Wednesday we will kick off with Get to Know your teacher night & there are fun activities planned for that evening. Starting Wednesday the 17th each class will dig in discussing & learning through activities along with songs in Genesis with Creation. I will share with our parents at the beginning of each month the Scripture & Bible stories that will be discussed for that month.
“God, you have taught me from my youth and I still proclaim your wondrous works.”- Psalm 71:18 One of my prayers is that our children in our ministry will share about Jesus among their peers along with being a good & encouraging friend in their little groups. |

The Pastor’s Pen |
|
Brothers and Sisters, Church family, this Sunday we began a new sermon series in First Timothy. You may wonder—why this book, and why now? First, because these words still matter. First Timothy is not just a leadership manual for Paul’s day—it is God’s authoritative instruction for how the church is to function until Christ returns. We believe in the authority of Scripture, and that means what God says here matters for Fellowship Baptist today and we must follow His Word. Second, because I need it. As a young pastor, I know that studying First Timothy will help me grow as a shepherd. But beyond that, as your pastor, I don’t want to wait until the end of my life to start equipping more pastors. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:12 that pastors are to equip the saints for the work of ministry. The goal of this study isn’t just information—it’s transformation. We want to be shaped into a church that is faithful in doctrine, in leadership, and in mission. Third, because this letter will guide us in an important season. After much prayer and discussion with our deacons, we believe the Lord is leading our church to take steps toward having multiple pastors—what the New Testament calls elders—serving alongside deacons. We will refer to this a plurality of elders. This is not my idea or the deacons. This is the two tiered leadership structure we see in the early church. Now, you may have a lot of questions. Or you may not know what that even means—and that’s okay. Over the next several months, we’re going to walk slowly through God’s Word together—both in our Sunday morning series in First Timothy and in our next Wednesday night study on church leadership which will begin Lord willing on November 19th. Along the way, we’ll take time for teaching, Q&A, and discussion, because this isn’t about rushing to make changes. It’s about letting God’s Word shape us and guide us. To help us, we’ve put together a proposed roadmap that lays out this journey step by step. (See link below) This process will stretch out over 12–24 months. It will give us time to study, pray, and ask questions together. It will allow us to test our leadership model in light of Scripture, and to ensure that, when the time comes, we move forward in unity and with confidence that this is what God’s Word calls us to. Our prayer is that, by the end of this process, Fellowship Baptist will be more aligned with God’s design for His church, strengthened in our mission, and equipped with faithful leaders for generations to come.So for now, I’m asking one thing: pray. Pray for wisdom, pray for unity, and pray for the Lord to raise up faithful men to shepherd His church well. The way the Kingdom of God grows is by Fellowship equipping more godly leaders than our church needs. Proposed Roadmap for Plurality of Elders. This is to help the church understand how this process might look. You can view this document by clicking the link. God is doing great things at Fellowship.
